A nice surprise when I arrived home today…the arrival of my NCFE Cache Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy In The Workplace.
Poor mental health accounts for more than half of work-related illnesses (around 51% of long-term sick leave is due to stress, depression or anxiety).
Having advised on long-term ill-health cases for over 18 years’, those statistics do not (sadly) come as a shock to me.
In order for me to advise my clients to the best of my ability, I felt it was time to upskill my knowledge.
A really interesting course that has expanded my understanding of the support (and lack of support still in some areas unfortunately) out there for people and their mental health.
